Saturdays @ NSL

16 Jul

Just finishing up our usual Saturday morning trip to Nassau Suffolk Lumber. Fortunately/unfortunately they close at noon today and aren’t open Sundays. It’s good ’cause it really gets us to hustle Saturday morning, but kinda stinks because anything else we may need has to come from Home Dinko (as Jer likes to call it). Plus Nassau Suffolk is super close to our house and quite cute!

So today we got pressure-treaded wood for the deck headers and joists. They’re pretty massive! The biggest pieces are 20′ 2×12, which is way too big for Jer’s truck and even stuck out the back of the large van we borrowed!! But we got a nifty flag for the ride home!

It was quite a haul, and helping Jer unload it all into the backyard was much harder than the burly guy who helped Jer load the van at the yard made it seem…
